CompAir's portable compressors
A wide variety of users rely on CompAir C series compressors when there is a demand for portable compressed air. Pressures range, depending on the model, from 7 to 24 bar g (100 to 350 psig).
CompAir's experience in the design and manufacture of high quality and efficient portable compressors spans almost 200 years. Today's models, the result of an intensive development programme, deliver the high performance, features and reliability demand by users in a multitude of harsh environments.

A versatile range for all applications
With a range comprising of nearly 50 models there is a model to suit any application, from the smallest single axle model, powering a couple of pneumatic tools through to the powerful twin axle models with the unique 180o turntable steering for excellent manoeuvrability on confined sites.
Easy access for operation and routine maintenance is standard across the range with well located control panels and simple lift off canopies or large access doors.
Simultaneous pneumatic and electrical power on certain models
Built in A/C generators allow the compressors to produce electrical power instead of compressed air. On the synchronous generator models sufficient energy is available to run pneumatic tools as well as running electrical powered machines such as immersion and sump pumps.
Emergency efficiency anywhere
Night working on emergency service repair or road works require a number of different machines for power and lighting. CompAir have introduced a unique and economical way to reduce plant costs.
The CompAir C38GLT combines simultaneously in one machine 2000W of metal halide tower lights, 3.8m3/min of air power at 7 bar and additional electric power. Just one machine to transport and maintain, which has a 24 hour utility.

Significant Fuel Savings
Turboscrew solution to energy wastage
The CompAir patented turboscrew design is a compression system with a radically new approach to energy conservation. It uses a Cummins turbo assisted engine powering a new CompAir screw compression unit with the addition of a second engine exhaust gas driven turbine pre-compressing the suctioned inlet air before it enters the compression chamber.
The technical advantages are:
Two stage compression with intermediate cooling
Recovery for air compression of 5% of engine power expended in exhaust heat.
Better synchronisation of engine speed and air intake valve response to air demand over a wide output. At outputs below 60% of maximum, compressor torque requirement reduces at the lower rotor speeds while torque of the Cummins engine increases at reduced so that further fuel is saved.
Overall benefit
Significantly greater compressor speed range and air delivery in which the turboscrew compressor efficiently. Fuel savings of up to 28% compared with conventional compressors of this size representing up to 20% of total lifetime costs.
New Extended range
The Turboscrew range has now been extended to five models, with the introduction of the C160TS-12 providing 16m3/min of air at 12 bar delivery pressure, and the C180TS-9 giving 18m3/min at 8.6 bar. These compliment the existing C190TS-9 (21.0 m3/min at 8.6 bar), C200TS-10 (20.0 m3/min at 10 bar) and the C190TS-12 (19.0 m3/min at 12 bar). The two new models have a shorter length and less within either tandom or heavy duty single axle form, they are designed for easy on-highway towing by van or 4 x 4.

Oil-free portable compressors
Where portable oil-free compressed is required CompAir has the solution with the C-OF series. These packaged units comprising of the proven CompAir two stage dry screw compression element complete with air-blast inter-cooling and air aftercooler provide oil free air at pressures up to 10 bar g with a low final delivery temperature of only 16 Deg C above ambient.
The C-OF series compressors are complete with comprehensive controls and instrumentation to provide ease of mind during operation. Nine large doors provide excellent access for routine maintenance, minimising downtime.
Available as skid mounted or on mobility wheels with steerable tow-bar and handbreak.
The CAT diesel engine meets EPA level 1 exhaust emission requirements and other imminent legal emission standards around the world.
Options to suit all requirements
Across the C-series a wide range of options exist to tailor the compressor to your exact requirements. These include adjustable tow-bars, additional filtration, built in aftercoolers, tool lubricators, road lights, pneumatic hose reels , base mounting allowing for permanent installation on site or on the load area of a commercial vehicle and also customers own paint colour and signwriting.
