JOSEPH VÖGELE AG, one of the members of Wirtgen group,  based at Mannheim and established in the year 1836 is proud of being one of the oldest industrial firms in Germany.

The company nowadays as in the past produces custom designed installations and machinery. For about 100 years the range of products concentrated on equipment for the railway industry such as switches, turning platforms, sliding platforms and shunting installations.

The change of the main field of production from the rail to the road was initiated in 1925 with the development of machinery for the building of road pavements.

With an increasingly growing road traffic this new sector expanded, whereas the company's other divisions lost significance. In these days VÖGELE focuses exclusively on the development and production of road building machinery, which is its core business.

With their road pavers VÖGELE promoted to the rank of market leader at home and in numerous countries abroad and hold a top position worldwide.

The SUPER Boy has been designed for paving asphalt in small widths precisely and economically, even in confined places. The smallest pavers from the VOGELE range of products is ideally suited for laying asphalt on footpaths and cycle paths it, in addition, also does a good ]ob in road construction when it comes to sealing service trenches with asphalt for instance The SUPER Boy comes with an Extending Screed provided as standard with vibrators Special features of the screed are its single-tube adjusting mechanism (3-point suspension) as well as electric heating of screed plates.

The wheeled SUPER 1203 (basic width 1.7m) is the first paver of its kind in the compact equipment class endowed with capabilities of the large pavers. The SUPER 1203 has all it takes to produce pavement quality at the highest level.
The compact paver with a basic width of only 1.7m gets in and out of confined working areas with ease. And it has the technology to manage paving tasks with equal ease.

The SUPER 1603-1 gets on well no matter how difficult the terrain may be. Due to its statically determined undercarriage the driving torque is transmitted without loss of power even when moving on an irregular base. For applications on which the required tractive effort cannot be achieved by the powered rear wheels alone, the SUPER 1603 offers a front-wheel drive as an option.

The SUPER 1600-1 is unrivalled in its class. This tracked paver not only produces superior pavement quality, but also achieves high laydown rates. For optimum adaptation to paving jobs the SUPER 1600 can be equipped with most of the VQGELE screed options. All in all a total of 8 different screeds are available for this paver to show off its full capability.

With the SUPER 1800 SF spreading of tack coat and paving of asphalt take place almost simultaneously in a single pass. As a result the tack coat neither sticks to the wheels of the feed vehicles nor to the crawlers of the road paver. The advantages of this paving technique are perfect bonding, reduced work load and shorter construction periods, less hindrance to traffic and thus less danger of accident, and last but not least less environmental pollution.

The SUPER 1903 is the most powerful wheeled VOGELE paver ever. Thanks to its all-wheel drive, the machine gets on perfectly well even on a slippery and irregular base, and even when working on an upgrade and pushing a feed lorry. The paver's electronic traction management (ERZ) automatically regulates tractive power to match the selected paving speed while moving straight or turning a radius.

The SUPER 2500 makes itself well paid on prospects where a high paving quality is required together with high laydown rates as is normally the case in motorway construction. This paver which is the largest of its kind worldwide is capable of handling any type of graded aggregate mix from gravel and lean-mixed concrete through to asphalt The SUPER 2500 produces pavements true to line and level, eighth perfect surface accuracy and optimum density. The paver's drive system regulating output by demand ensures perfect co-ordination of al', paver functions even in continuous operation at the highest level.

Extending Screeds

With statically determined single-tube adjusting mechanism ensuring fault-free operation by maintaining constant settings under any paving conditions.


High-Power Compaction Screeds

Available as fixed screeds or extending screeds and equipped with pressure bar(s) driven by pulsed flow hydraulics.

Under ideal paving conditions, HPC screeds manage to produce the specified density even when paving in varying layer thickness.
